Washington, Sept 25: Veteran rock star Sir Bob Geldof’s former ‘Boomtown Rats’ bandmates have filed a suit against him, accusing him of not sharing the band’s fortune with them since they spilt in 1986.
Guitarist Garrick Roberts, who now does plumbing jobs to pay the bills, says that he “hasn’t received a penny” in royalties from the band’s hit songs, including ‘I Don’t Like Mondays’ and ‘Rat Trap’.
He also accused Geldof of always publicizing himself more than the band, and said that now he and his former bandmates John Moylett, Gerry Cott and Simon Crowe want their share of dues from him.
"He was always much more of a self publicist than the rest of us. He's learned to use his fame. It's what he's about now," Contactmusic quoted him as saying. (ANI)
