LOS ANGELES (AFP) - According the Hollywood Reporter, actress Demi Moore is in negotiations to star in the film "Bobby," an independent project to be produced by Emilio Estevez.
Blending fact and fiction, the film will depict the lives of different people at the time of Kennedy's June 1968 assassination, shortly after his triumph in the California primaries ahead of the presidential poll.
Hopkins, who won a Oscar for Best Actor for 1992's "Silence of the Lambs," is expected to play a hotel porter while Moore could portray a cabaret singer.
Kennedy was gunned down in the hotel five years after his brother, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in Dallas in 1963.
Filming is due to begin on October 25.
