Actress Mira Sorvino has been signed to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo in 'Reservation Road,' a family tragedy Terry George will be directing for Focus Features.

Washington, Oct 10: Actress Mira Sorvino has been signed to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo in Reservation Road, a family tragedy Terry George will be directing for Focus Features.

In the film, two families collide when the father of one kills the son of the other in a hit-and-run. Phoenix and Ruffalo are to play the fathers' role, and Jennifer Connelly will be Phoenix's wife. Sorvino will play Ruffalo's ex-wife in the film.

The screenplay will be by Burnham Schwartz, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

Reservation Road is the first project from a filmmaking partnership between distributor Focus Features and Random House Films.

Mira Sorvino won an Oscar for her performance in Mighty Aphrodite, and was also nominated for a Golden Globe for her work on the miniseries Human Trafficking.(ANI)
