Black Crowes's Robinson seeks divorce from Kate Hudson

The Black Crowes lead singer Chris Robinson has petitioned a court to divorce his wife, actress Kate Hudson, after six years of marriage, court sources said.

LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Hudson, nominated for an Oscar in 2001 for "Almost Famous", in August announced that she had separated from Robinson, with whom she has a two-and-a-half-year-old son.

The daughter of star comedy actress Goldie Hawn, Hudson, 27, married Robinson in 2000.

Robinson, 39, founded the rock group The Black Crowes together with his younger brother Rich in Georgia in 1985. The group took off in the 1990s, selling 15 million CDs on the back of hits like "She Talks To Angels".
