SAINT TROPEZ, France (AFP) - More than 1,500 bikers set out for the 15-kilometre (nine-mile) parade Sunday morning at the end of the four-day Harley-Euro Festival for lovers of the legendary American brand.

Besides France, they came from Britain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland for the inaugural festival, which featured concerts and even a competition for the best-looking Harleys.

Organisers designed the event in the style of US "bike weeks," where thousands of riders gather, and hope to attract up to 40,000 participants within five years.
