August 26, 2008 (Sawf News) - After having achieved success as a TV host and presenter, Vanessa Minnillo wants to add acting to her resume; she has her hopes pinned on the upcoming film Disaster Movie that releases in theatres on Friday, August 29.
Minnillo, who has been doing the media rounds to promote the film, appeared on Ryan Seacrest's morning show on 102.7 KIIS FM on Monday, August 25.
She plays one of the six leads in the film that is a spoof on spoof on pop culture.
Quizzed on her career plans, Minnillo, 27, said, "I am ready for another chapter. Now whether or not this chapter is one quick page or it is a couple of paragraphs long will depend on how well the move does and how well I can grasp acting,"
"I like to think of myself as being more well rounded than just a host," she added.
One thing that Minnillo says she definitely cannot do is sing. She would rather leave that to her boyfriend Nick Lachey.
"If you hear me sing, trust me you will tell me to stick to my day job," she told Seacrest.
Vanessa, has been dating Lachey since June 2006. She moved in with him in April 2007, sharing Lachey's Bel Air, California home and purchasing an apartment in the Atelier condominium building in Manhattan.
Despite speculations the two have yet not announced any marriage plans.
