September 12, 2008 (Sawf News) - The first single, Love Story, from Taylor Swift's next studio album, Fearless, debuted on iTunes Friday, September 12, and the 18-year-old country singer says she would "love it if you'd go check it out (possibly buy it)."
The video for the single debuted on CMT Friday, September 12. The album is due in stores on November 11.
Writing on her MySpace blog about the single, Swift says, "I wrote that one by myself, so I'm extra excited that it's the first single…I can't wait for you all to see it! It's different than all the ones we've made in the past. We may be going back in time for this video. Maybe. Not that I'm hinting at anything. At all."
Swift who has been nominated for female vocalist of the year at CMA against veterans, Alison Krauss, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood.
She was announcing the awards on GMA with the group Rascal Flatts when her name was read out. Recalling the moment she writes:
"It was so crazy to hear my name announced in the Female Vocalist category.. !!!! I didn't expect to be nominated in that category, so I was really shocked. Being in a category with Carrie, Miranda, Alison, and Martina feels so unreal. Those are my heroes. I look up to them so much. This has been such an incredible week!"
During the MTV VMAs on September 7, Swift co-hosted MTV News' Opening Act, serving as fashion correspondent before taking the stage to introduce the Jonas Brothers as they performed their new single Lovebug live for the first time at the Paramount Lot.
"The VMA's were so much fun. I got to interview all these awesome people on the red carpet before the VMA's started. It's interesting being on the other side of the interview," she writes.
She was nominated for Best New Artiste moon-man at MTV VMA for Teardrops on My Guitar, which is competing against Miley's 7 Things, Katy Perry's I Kissed A Girl, Jordin Sparks' No Air and Tokio Hotel Ready, Set, Go!. The award went to Tokio Hotel.
"Thank you all for voting, I know you tried. :)," Swift says.
