October 02, 2008, (Sawf News) - Jessica Simpson will open Rascal Flatts' Bob That Head Tour 2009 shows. The dates for the 25 show tour will be announced in mid-January, the group announced on Thursday, October 2.

The 2008 leg of the sold out tour by the Nashville, Tennessee based Grammy Award winning country music group will wrap up on November 2, after a two-day play in Uncasville, Connecticut at Mohegan Sun.

Jessica successfully transitioned from pop to country music with the release of her Epic/Columbia Nashville debut country album, Do You Know on September 9.

The album debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart with physical sales of 65,000, and the song, Come on Over, from the album has become her first country music hit which peaked at #18 on the country charts in August, 2008

It's one of eight songs she co-wrote for the album, which also includes her new single, Remember That, and the title track, featuring friend and hero, Dolly Parton.

Acknowledging her roots as a country girl, Jessica has said, "I took the long way around to get back to where I came from."
