November 12, 2008, (Sawf News) - Taylor Swift's new album Fearless, released November 11, is expected to top 'The Billboard 200,' according to data from Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart, released November 12.
The album sold 217,000 copies within the first 24 hours based on data from eight merchants who comprise about 80% of all U.S. album sales. . According to Universal Music Group Distribution projections, the first full week sales for the album could top 600,000, the best figures for a country album since Eagles' Long Road Out of Eden sold 711,000 copies in November 2007.
According to Billboard.com, other albums set to debut within the top 10 on The Billboard 200 next week include David Archuleta's self-titled debut (19/Jive), T-Pain's Thr33 Ringz (Konvict/Nappy Boy/Jive), the Now 29 compilation (UMe) and Enya's And Winter Came... (Reprise)
