December 09, 2008, (Sawf News) - Jennifer Aniston and Scottish actor Gerard Butler are in talks with Columbia to star in an untitled new comedy to be helmed by Andy Tennant (Hitch, 2005).
The film tells the tale of a bounty hunter (Butler) hired to retrieve his ex-wife (Aniston), who has skipped bail.
The film, which has been scripted by Sarah Thorp (Twisted, 2004), will be produced by Neal Moritz through his Sony-based Original Films shingle.
Aniston and Butler have been spotted together a few times, including at the Toronto International Film Festival after-party on September 7, and the meetings sparked rumors of a romance, since proven to be false.
Gerard, 39, is best known for his portrayal of King Leonidas in 300 (2006) and The Phantom in the The Phantom of the Opera (2004).
Aniston’s upcoming film Marley & Me releases in theatres on Christmas Day. Her future projects include He's Just Not That Into You, Traveling and Management, which she also produced.
