The mother of six, however, didn't specify for which project.
"I have had a year off, and I may work for a few months," Jolie said. "But if I do, I'm probably going to take another year and a half or two. I'm going to work a lot less."
Phillip Noyce helmed and Kurt Wimmer written Edwin A. Salt with Jolie in the lead is currently in the scripting stage with a release date of 2010.
Meanwhile, both Jolie and Pitt are strong contenders this awards season for their performances in Changeling and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button respectively. The couple attended the 14th Annual Critics' Choice Awards 2009 on Thursday, January 8, after having skipped the 35th annual People's Choice Awards 2009 on Wednesday.
