January 23, 2009, (Sawf News) - Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson and Drew Barrymore discuss their upcoming comedy He's Just Not That Into You in the video released by Access Hollywood which includes footage from the film.
The Ken Kwapis helmed comedy from New Line Cinema and Drew Barrymore's Flower Films production is set in Baltimore and based on the bestselling book of the same name by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. The book, which was based on a dialog line in the TV series Sex and the City, was adapted for the film's script by Abby Kohn.
The film has an A-Lister star cast - Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kevin Connolly, and Bradley Cooper.
The film will have its world premiere on February 2 at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA. It is due for release on February 6, 2008.
In the film a hard-line advice guy falls for a woman who seeks him out because she can't figure out the men in her life.
The plot chronicles the romantic misadventures of several individuals in their twenties and thirties. The common thread is that one person in each relationship is more "into" the other person than vice versa. At the core of these multiple stories is Gigi (Ginnifer Goodwin), a young woman who repeatedly misinterprets the signs that men give her about their level of interest in her. The more experienced and romantically successful Alex (Justin Long), the manager of a bar, advises her on how to understand men.
Other plotlines include married couple Janine (Jennifer Connelly) and Ben (Bradley Cooper), who are going through a rough patch-leading him to flirt with Anna (Scarlett Johansson), an aspiring singer. Anna, in turn, is dating Connor (Kevin Connolly), but is clearly less into him than he is into her. The final major plot arc is Neil (Ben Affleck) and Beth's (Jennifer Aniston) story. They have cohabited for several years, but break up when Beth desires to get married and Neil refuses.
Drew Barrymore features as a newspaper editor who helps Connor promote his real-estate business. She herself has trouble comprehending the semiotics of dating.
