January 07, 2010, (Splash News) - Charlie Sheen missed out on two awards at the People's Choice Awards.
The Spin City star was beaten to Best TV Comedy Actor by The Office's Steve Carell, while his show Two and a Half Men lost out in the Favorite TV Comedy category to The Big Bang Theory.
Sheen, who is accused of holding a knife to wife Brooke Mueller's throat on Christmas Day, did not attend the awards ceremony.
A host of actors, actresses and music stars arrived at LA's Nokia Theatre for the well-respected People's Choice Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah.
Sandra Bullock, Hugh Jackman, Mariah Carey and Johnny Depp were among the winners – for best movie actress, best action star, best R&B artist and actor of the decade respectively.
While British actor Hugh Laurie was named Best TV Drama Actor for his role in House, film star Ashton Kutcher won a slightly more unusual award.
Demi Moore's 31-year-old husband was given the award favorite 'Web Celeb' – thanks to his heavy use of social networking site Twitter.
