14 June 2007 (Sawf News) - Meg Ryan is no stranger to moviegoers, the heights of her career spanned the 80’s and early 90’s. Indeed, her romantic comedies Sleepless In Seattle, When Harry Met Sally, and You’ve Got Mail delivered a homegrown charm and sweetness, earning her the title of American sweetheart. She made cinemagoers cry with her portrayal of a cynical doctor in City of Angels. The star first made her debut on the small screen in the soap opera “As The World Turns” and then pursued movie roles which showcased her all-American looks and gift for comedy. The former homecoming queen has enjoyed immeasurable success at the box office, so much so that the 1980’s would not be complete without viewing at least one of her films.
Ryan has not been quite as lucky in love as she has been in her career. Besides a failed marriage with actor Dennis Quaid lasting a decade, and a relationship with former costar Russell Crowe of Gladiator fame, she has kept a low profile.

Perhaps the best-loved role of the fortysomething star is that of a mom. Already a mother to son Jack from her marriage to Dennis Quaid, she recently adopted a girl in January 2000 named Daisy True. Seen in this recent picture taken June 13th , in Hawaii, Meg and Daisy are having a tropical adventure. A relaxed Meg wears a low-cut green bikini with coordinating orange drawstring shorts and matching orange bag. Daisy is equally casual in a sundress and bonnet. Seems like the star of almost a dozen romantic films has found love of a different kind: children.
The actress’ is slated to film her next movie a remake of The Women by George Cukor. The film is supposed to costar actresses Anne Hathaway, Lisa Kudrow, and Candice Bergen and hit theatres sometime in late 2007.
