6 Jul 2007 (Sawf News) - Paris Hilton is no stranger to publicity. Everywhere she goes, everything she does, is fodder for the international press. And yet, we never seem to get bored of her. So much drama, so little time. Known as much for getting her glam on as she is for her now-trademark oversized glares, La Hilton likes to have her cake and eat it too. A fondness for the spotlight along with a wish to live her life, heiress-style.
It seems, however, that her time in the slammer has made her a little quieter, a little less…. Paris. Whether it’s a phase that will pass or a brand new person remains to be seen. From her first outfit coming out of jail, a short-sleeved jacket with skinny pants and white shoes, to her recent navy blue sundress at the Malibu shindig, to this, a little striped number floating around LA—she’s gone conservative on us.
The only thing she’s kept the same is the large glares, because hey, it’s still Paris and we’re still tracking her every well-heeled move. It’s a far cry from the young woman who confessed on her reality show that she didn’t wear underwear, the one who made the infamous sex tape and then sued to get it back. Whether she’s dressing to reflect her “changed” personality, or just trying to breeze through the city on her errands, the statement surely works.
Paris, ten degrees cooler
Seen in this recent photograph, the Hilton girl wears a short kicky dress in uneven vertical stripes with large reflective shades, hair pulled back in a blue cap and carrying a white bag. Post-jail, it seems like she’s less into flashing her last name and money than she is about being herself. Kudos on the stripes, they save the dress from being plain and yet don’t overwhelm her tall figure. Somehow, we can’t picture her dressed in this outfit and dancing on tables, as she has done in the past. Someone who had all the money in the world, then was deprived of it for a short time, now seems to understand the true meaning of freedom. Maybe having nothing to prove isn’t such a bad thing.
The heiress to millions and former flame of Paris Latsis, Stavros Niarchos and a Backstreet Boy, Hilton seems to land on her pedicured feet one way or another. Probably the only ex-con we know that has two fragrances and a Teen Choice Award nomination, she’s certainly one of the most unusual celebs of our Celebrity Watch. As if that wasn’t enough, Paris has been after her fans to give her their vote in the hope that she wins. Don’t know about the TCA, but you’d surely win best-dressed in this! Viva la Paris!
