24 September 2007 (Sawf News) - The Game Plan recently had it's premiere on September 23rd, 2007, in the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California. The film stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Roselyn Sanchez in a comedy about a bachelor football player who lives life to the fullest. He suddenly finds out he has a daughter from a spontaneous fling before his marriage. After becoming a widower, he must strike a balance between the single life and the family he never knew he had.
The red carpet was full of short hemlines, free-flowing hairstyles and natural-looking makeup. It worked for some but not others.
Usually for comedies, actresses tend to dress down a little. Of course, there's a fine line between dressing down and dressing downright badly.

Former Ford model and A-list film actress Ali Larter needs no tips on looking good. The leggy blonde has starred in movies like Varsity Blues, Legally Blonde, and Resident Evil: Extinction. Currently gracing the cast of 'Heroes', she has no problems showing off a perfectly toned body. However, we can't quite figure out the logic behind her outfit.
The seafoam color of her dress suits the occasion and goes well with her fair complexion. Her loosely styled waves also complement the dress perfectly. Ali's makeup is applied with a light touch, so as not to overwhelm the casual look of the dress.
But going lower, we get to the feet and are confused. Just what are thong sandals doing on a Hollywood red carpet? Seeing it's Ali, we want to think she forgot to wear real shoes or she stepped in something and a friend had to loan her these at the last minute. They look oh-so-comfortable, but red carpets aren't about comfort. They're about style and finesse. Something this outfit may have had, but lost because of its' lower half. And then the quilted beige bag finishes off her strange combo. This dress wants a cute clutch bag like all the girls are carrying in LA, and for goodness sake, leave the thong sandals for a party on the beach. Two stars.

This onetime soap star moved onto movies Rush Hour 2, and Chasing Papi. She also cut an album called "Borinquena" which received a nomination for a Latin Grammy. The stunner from San Juan is a regular on the CBS series "Without a Trace".
Her romantic past is what you'd expect from a hottie. Once married to actor Gary Stretch, she then had a relationship with Victor Manuelle. And now dates the hunky Eric Winter, also a former soap star.
Pretty Woman
Roselyn fared better than anyone on the carpet. It doesn't hurt that her beauty could run circles around the rest of these girls. But even better, she knows how to use it. In this low-backed pink dress with thin straps and open-toed heels, la Roselyn shimmers. Of course, having a pair of perfect gams doesn't hurt, making short frocks such as this de rigueur. What else to say, the makeup looked beautiful, as did the gold necklace and bangles. Gorgeous style for a gorgeous actress. Four stars!!

Seeing Staci Keanan in this outfit made us cry. Not what we were expecting from a former child model. Keanan made her name in sitcoms "My Two Dads" and "Step by Step", and then moved on to films like Stolen Poem and Hidden Secrets. You'd think someone who grew up in show business would know how to throw on a decent outfit. But guess to every rule there's an exception.
In this recent photograph, the Keanster dons a low-cut blue print, with clashing leopard pumps, and a beige handbag. It is so obvious we don't even feel like commenting on how many fashion rules she's broken. She is a poster child of what not to wear on the carpet. But forget the carpet, this couldn't be worn anywhere! The blue dress reminds us of what Nana would wear playing bingo at the local church. But the icing on the cake is the bag. Not only does it not remotely go with the outfit, it's way too big for a formal event. The only thing we could think is that she needed it to carry her support hose. Someone please give her Drew Barrymore's phone number before she shows up at another formal do.
