The 'Nuits de Diamants' or Night of Diamonds was a black and white event with precious gems worth millions of dollars on display as adornment on the necks, ears, and fingers of a few lucky guests.
The recently renovated Plaza Hotel's new Grand Ballroom.has in the past hosted Truman Capote's "Black and White Ball," the wedding of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, and Sarah Jessica Parker's 40th birthday party.
