November 11, 2008, (Sawf News) - Nicole Kidman looked breathtaking in a revealing white body hugging L'Wren Scott train gown at Glamour magazine's 2008 Women of the Year Awards, held at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Monday, November 10.

Nicole's spaghetti strap gown had a gathered bodice above a jeweled empire waist. The embroidery was extensive at the back, getting heavier towards the train. She accessorized with a matching diamond cuff tied in a bow on her right forearm, silver metallic heels, Fred Leighton drop earrings and a gold box clutch with metallic beaded strap.

Her side swept golden hair with blond highlights was set in soft curls at the back.

The 41-year-old Australian actress was honored for her work with the United Nations Development Fund for Women at the annual event that pays tribute to women who have made major contributions to entertainment, business, sport, fashion, science and politics.

The 10 honorees this year included Yemeni Nujood Ali, 10, who refused to accept a forced marriage to a man nearly three times her age, after her impoverished father pulled her out of second-grade in school in the capital Sanaa and married her to a man in his 30s, who beat and sexually assaulted her.

Other celebrities honored were U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Senator Hillary Clinton, Beach volleyball duo Misty May and Kerri Walsh, Chanel Chief Executive Maureen Chiquet, Model and TV personality Tyra Banks, artist Kara Walker and Jane Goodall, best known for her ground-breaking work with chimpanzees.
