The event presented by Cartier was held at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California.

She accessorized with black peep toe Christian Louboutin heels and exquisite Cartier diamond jewels - drop earrings, a bracelet on her left arm and a chunky ring on the right hand middle finger.

Her red nail and lip color; and light eye makeup was complimentary to the red carpet ensemble.
She was accompanied to the show by her new man, actor Adam Shulman. He did not walk the red carpet with her but sat between her and her brother Michael through the evening. Hathaway was seen locking lips with Adam before leaving the table to receive her award.
Hathaway was bestowed the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her standout performance in Rachel Getting Married. The award was presented by her Rachel costar, Rosemarie DeWitt.
Past actresses that have received this award include Oscar winners Charlize Theron and Halle Berry, as well as Kate Winslet, Laura Linney and Naomi Watts.
Anne Hathaway, who shot to stardom playing Andy Sachs opposite Meryl Streep in the sleeper hit The Devil Wears Prada (2006), had a busy 2008. In addition to her challenging role of Kym in Rachel Getting Married, directed by Jonathan Demme, Hathaway was seen in the action-comedy Get Smart, alongside Steve Carell; and she starred in the drama Passengers with co-star Patrick Wilson. Directed by Rodrigo Garcia the film is currently in theatres.
She is currently filming Alice in Wonderland along with Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton.
Other recipients of the Palm Springs awards included Sean Penn, Clint Eastwood, Ron Howard, Dakota Fanning, Amy Adams, the cast of Revolutionary Road, composer Alexandre Desplat and Slumdog Millionaire newcomer Freida Pinto.
