January 08, 2009, (Sawf News) - Kate Hudson looked a delight, blending style and charm, at the 35th annual People's Choice Awards at the Shrine Auditorium on Wednesday, January 7.

The ever cheerful star flaunted her shapely legs in an asymmetrical double hue single shoulder Gucci gown. The color looked flattering on her. She accessorized with matching platforms with towering heels, a black Gucci clutch, black oversized Vartanian drop hoop earrings and a black and a white cocktail ring each on her left hand middle and ring fingers.

Her two tone honey blond hair was left open in a messy look framing her face. She rounded off her looks with smoky eye makeup and light glossy lips.

Kate Hudson was named favorite leading lady for her role as Alexis in the romantic comedy My Best Friend's Girl (2008), edging past Anne Hathaway and Queen Latifah.

Not many saw Hudson's performance though; the film, made at an estimated cost of $45 million barely grossed $19.2 million in the US.

Kate will be next seen in Bride Wars, which opens in theaters on January 9. Later, we will see her in Rob Marshall helmed, Nine, a film based on the 1982 Tony Award-winning musical of the same name. The film's ensemble cast additionally includes Academy Award winners Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench and Sophia Loren; and Penélope Cruz and R&B singer Fergie.
