January 26, 2009, (Sawf News) - Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto sizzled and turned heads at the 15th Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, January 25, at Shrine Auditorium at Los Angeles.

Freida, 24, wore a sweeping periwinkle Marchesa pleated gown with a criss-crossed bodice. She accessorized with a silver jeweled Roger Viver box clutch and Martin Katz diamond jewels - solitaire drop earrings, a magnificent bracelet in her left arm and a 53-carat diamond clip ornamented her hair.

Her mega watt smile lit the red carpet and her eye makeup, which matched her dress, was spectacular: blue eye color with dark eyeliner, heavy mascara, pink blush and light lip color in pink hue. Her dark straight hair was swept up and styled in a high updo accentuated with a 53-carat diamond hair clip.

The young Indian star walked the red carpet with co stars Dev Patel, Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. Patel looked dashing in a grey Burberry tuxedo while Kapoor appeared dapper in a black suit, black tie and white shirt despite the stubble and gold hoop earrings. Irrfan looked his charming self in a black suit, white shirt and blue tie.

Slumdog Millionaire was awarded for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

One of the memories from the event that Freida will cherish in the years ahead will certainly be the opportunity to rub shoulders with Kate Winslet at the very beginning of her career.
