February 08, 2009, (Sawf News) - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were lustily cheered as they arrived outside the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden for the BAFTAs in freezing cold and torrential rain on Sunday.

Jolie, 33, exuded poise and grace as she signed autographs in a black and golden yellow silk crêpe Giorgio Armani strapless dress. She accessorized with black Christian Louboutin pumps, Asprey jewels: stud earrings and a snake bracelet on her left arm.

Her hair, styled half up and half down with bottom waves paired with light makeup, brought special warmth to her face accentuating her soft feminine charm.

Brad Pitt, 45, walked by Jolie's side showing splashes of rain on his clothing, looking dapper in Tom Ford tuxedo and bow tie with a black silk scarf thrown around his neck, flaunting his fully grown moustache and goatee!

Kate Winslet, 33, won the Best Actress award for her role as Hanna Schmitz in The Reader, further bolstering her chance to an Academy Award, something that has eluded her despite five past nominations. (Winslet was also nominated in under same category for her role in Revolutionary Road).

Mickey Rourke, 56, bagged the Best Actor award for his role in The Wrestler as a has-been ring fighter who makes a comeback.

Slumdog Millionaire was named Best Film and took home six other awards for directing - for Danny Boyle - Adapted Screenplay, Music, Cinematography, Editing and Sound.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button won three Baftas, for Production Design, Make-Up And Hair and Special Visual Effects. Its star, Brad Pitt, missed out as Best Actor.

Best Supporting Actor was presented posthumously to Heath Ledger for The Dark Knight, in which he plays Batman's nemesis The Joker.

Best Supporting Actress went to Penelope Cruz for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
