May 29, 2009, (Sawf News) - Gisele Bündchen, with earnings of $25 million last year, retains her #1 ranking on Forbes 2009 list of The World's Top-Earning Models.
The 28-year-old Brazilian supermodel made considerably less than the $35 million she made in 2008, and $33 million in 2007, probably a reflection of the hard economic conditions worldwide.
Bündchen fronts numerous campaigns, including Versace, True Religion jeans, Dior and Ebel watches, and has her own Brazilian shoe line.
What she doesn’t have is a bun in the oven, something her boyfriend, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, confirmed after football practice yesterday.
Asked if his wife was expecting:
“No,” said Tom. "One is enough."
Heidi Klum, 35, is placed second on the list, having earned $16 million, against $14 million last year. The mother of three continues to do well for herself, even beating the recession, through her TV career and endorsement.
British supermodel Kate Moss rounds out the top three with earnings of $8.5 million, from her successful Topshop line and brand endorsements.
Others amidst the top 10 are
4. Adriana Lima $8 million
5. Doutzen Kroes $6 million
6. Alessandra Ambrosio $6 million
7. Natalia Vodianova $5.5 million
8. Daria Werbowy $4.5 million
9. Miranda Kerr $3 million
10. Carolyn Murphy $3 million
