June 02, 2009, (Sawf News) - Before you venture out to buy that perfect swimsuit - stylish, sexy and flattering on you – here are some style tips for this summer.
They come from swimwear designer Lisa Curran, who is well known for creating sexy, flattering swimsuits - ranging from skimpy bikini to tankini and one piece swimsuits - for every body type.
One shouldered swimsuits and cut-away styles are the hottest trend to wear this summer. The style is a spill over of the popular red carpet fashion this season, and goes well with a petite and curvy figure, adding an illusion of height and and proportion.
Frill on the top area of the bikini or one piece swimsuit is good. If you are not big breasted and don't want to look noticeably small then frill can enhance that area. Frills below are good at hiding bulges and unwanted curves.
Ruching, when strategically placed, works just as great as frill in taking attention away from your flat top area.
Prints - Bold Animal, floral and abstract - were favored by top swimwear designers for their spring'/summer 2009 collections - So no more delicate prints in pastel colors. It’s bold and beautiful all the way. You just have to ensure that the print is strategically placed; it should blend with your body and not end up accentuating any faults.
Bra top swimsuits: Swimsuits are notorious for making chests look flat. The bra top swimsuits come with underwire and push up pads that help small breasted women flaunt a cleavage; fuller breasted women can use them for support and uplift.
You just have to make sure to go for a look that does not look like lingerie. Vibrant colors and bold prints can solve that problem.
The style is suitable for tall, curvy, straight figure women.
Color: This season bright colors such as red, purple and yellow are in.
Embellishments: Gold rings that were introduced about 3 seasons ago are still in, whether it is bikini, tankini or one piece suit.
