It was a good dress that managed to charm but not wow, probably because it didn't go too well with Miley's body shape.
Miley walked the red carpet with her mother Leticia.
As far as Miley fans go, the highlight of the Oscar evening wasn't her dress or the six Oscar win by The Hurt Locker, but Miley's admission that she maybe in love with her The Last Song co-star, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth.
"You guys are dating?" Ryan Seacrest asked Miley.
"Yes," she confirmed.
"Are you in love?" Ryan quizzed.
"Maybe," said Miley.
Miley and Amanda Seyfried introduced the nominees for Best Song.
