Photo Credit: REUTERS/Kieran DohertyLondon, Oct 6: Pop diva Madonna may have denied adopting any children from an orphanage in Malawi, but the singer has now confirmed that she is in the country to set up a care centre for up to 4,000 orphans.
Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg confirmed the news after dismissing earlier adoption reports,
"She's kind of adopting an entire country of children," she was quoted by Contactmusic, as saying.
The singer's visit to an orphanage had fuelled speculations that she is to adopt a local one-year-old boy.
A government spokeswoman had said that the singer flew there by private jet to "locate a suitable candidate", a claim denied by her publicist. (ANI)
