London, Oct 20(ANI): In what seems to be a sensational twist in Sir Paul McCartney’s divorce battle with Heather Mills, her former sister-in-law has revealed that the former model has a history of losing her temper when someone questioned her lies.
Dianna Karmal claims that she herself witnessed Heather, 38 slapping her first husband Alfie Karmal before they married.
In leaked court documents, the former model has claimed that McCartney stabbed her with a broken wine glass, pushed her over a table, and shoved her in the bath when pregnant with their baby, Beatrice.
Dianna said she saw Heather hit Alfie during a row in which she claimed she was late meeting him because her car had been towed away.
"She went to slap him but he instinctively put his hand up to protect his face,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.
"Heather would lose her temper if you questioned her lies. I saw that temper and I saw that reaction. I assumed it wasn't the first time. She had, in fact, been for a drink with a few friends. She created a whole story of total rubbish. It was a needless fantasy. It's like something just snaps inside her. She controls her temper in front of most people but next minute she's like a banshee," she added.
Dianna also claims that Alfie tried to get Heather to see a psychiatrist about her temper but she stopped going.
Heather married Alfie in May 1989 but they split when she unexpectedly fled two years later after trashing their house. She immediately sold her 18,000 pounds BMW, a present from Alfie, to a dealer.
Charity campaigner Heather admitted in June 2000 that she "slapped" actor George Hamilton after he made a pass at her.
Heather has been branded a fantasist by relatives and former lovers - a childhood friend even sued her, claiming Heather stole parts of her own life story.
Even her loyal publicist Anya Noakes admits Heather struggles to stick to the facts.
In August 2002, Ms Noakes said, "I'm not pretending that she never exaggerates stories but I don't think it's ever been done with malicious intent or anything." (ANI)
