© AFP/File Michal Cizek London, Oct 26: Although he claims that he didn’t realize Madonna intended to permanently adopt his 1-year-old son David, poverty-stricken potato farmer Yohane Banda insists that he would not try to stop the adoption procedure.
According to the Sun, despite the fact that he was reportedly unaware of the fact that his son will be gone forever, David’s father said that he won’t ask for his son back, saying, "I’ll be killing his future if I do"
"I don’t want my child, who is already gone, to come back," he added.
He further said that the confusion arose, as he wasn’t informed properly about the adoption details.
"It is true I was not told properly my child will be taken for good," he said
"You know, I am not educated. So the way I was told, I thought it would be the same as keeping him at the orphanage — the only difference being he will be kept by a rich, respectable lady in America, which is far away.
"What I was told is Good Samaritans want to help raise my son by sending him to school and looking after him. When he finishes school he will come back home to stay with us," added Yohane Banda (ANI)
