Washington, Nov 24: After trying unsuccessfully to kick the butt by the traditional ways, Scottish actor Ewan McGregor has now decided to try a slightly more unconventional method – hypnosis.

This is not the first time that McGregor has attempted to quit smoking. He gave up the habit back in January 2004, but quickly ended his abstinence when he started smoking again during his 20,000-mile (32,000-kilometre) motorbike journey around the world.

This time however, the Moulin Rouge! actor is really “determined” to kick the butt, and has decided to see a hypnotherapist to help him.

"I'm determined this time, really. It has to work,” Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

As for whether not his wife Eve had been upset when he cancelled a family holiday to California to star in a new movie by director Woody Allen, McGregor revealed that she had not been upset, for she was an even bigger fan of the acclaimed director than himself.

"Eve's an even bigger Woody fan than me, so she didn't really mind - when Woody calls, you have to answer," he added. (ANI)
