At one point of time late last month the friendship between the two blondes had blossomed to an extent where their sexual orientation was being questioned. Most Paris watchers believed that Brit was drawing inspiration from the socialite in choosing to go commando. It now appears Brit has decided that she needs to focus more on her career and less on Hilton's dubious expertise on the merits of well waxed crotches.
A source has told PageSix "Britney has been told by her people that if she ever wants a comeback, she has to stay far away from Paris and start acting like an adult."
Britney may well have decided to put her underwear where her crotch is when she reneged on her commitment to jointly co-host the BMA 2006 with Paris Hilton without giving any specific reason. Eventually Paris too reneged on the commitment, without really upsetting anyone we suspect.
