Photo Credit: Juan Garces / Splash News23 Jan 2007 (Sawf News) - Jessica Simpson and John Mayer looked relaxed and content as they enjoyed a night out at Nobu restaurant in Miami's South Beach on Monday, 22 Jan 2007. They spent over two hours chatting over Sushi and bottled water. Simpson, looking fit and tanned, was bra-less in a revealing low-cut dress which left little to the imagination while John wore a black sweatshirt and jeans.
Earlier in the day the two took yoga classes and worked out together at their hotel's Sports Club/LA gym lifting weights.
"They looked really cute together," a witness at Nobu told People. "They were talking and laughing the whole time. She was constantly fixing herself to make sure she looked her best for him."
At a few points Jessica leaned forward and John reached across the table to hold both her hands.
The two have been seeing each other sporadically since August 2006 but have yet to acknowledge a relationship. Grammy award winning singer-songwriter and guitarist Mayer is believed to be keen to keep the relationship low key and out of the glare of the media.
The couple was seen displaying public intimacy for the first time as they rang in 2007 in New York at the Hudson Hotel party thrown by Christina Aguilera. A witness reported to have seen them in a “full-on making out” session.
"He was scratching her back, they were kissing, it wasn't subtle," the New York Daily News quoted the source, as saying.
John is performing in Jacksonville on Thursday, Miami on Friday, Orlando on Saturday and Pensacola on the following Monday night so it is possible the two could be together in the Sunshine State for a few days.
Jessica Simpson is scheduled to perform with Willie Nelson at a Dallas fundraiser on Feb. 10 at the Nokia Theatre. Proceeds benefit the AetheriA Foundation, which provides college scholarships for artistically gifted students.

It literally makes me ill. John has always proclaimed himself as such an articulate, thoughtful hometown boy who would never fall for the trappings of Hollywood. He swore he'd never date this type and here it is. And of all people, Jessica Simpson. Like I said, as a fan from the beginning when he was just John at Eddie's Attic in the day, it almost makes me not want to be a fan anymore. Makes him seem pretty fake if you ask me.
Yeah, ill, very ill.

I think people should find happiness with whomever they please. Obviously John and Jessica enjoy each other's company and each deserves happiness. None of us really know either of them. If they are happy - who could not want that for another human being?
