Washington, Feb 7: Veteran singer Diana Ross was reportedly shocked when she was invited by Academy Award representatives to sing one of the nominated songs from the musical Dreamgirls, at the Oscar ceremony.
The legend has earlier admitted that she hasn’t watched the film, which is based on her rise to fame with ‘The Supremes’, and that she would watch it with her lawyer.
“I haven't seen it - maybe I should see it with my lawyer,” she said.
However, Ross is yet to respond to the invitation to sing at the event, scheduled on February 25.
Meanwhile, the 62-year-old soul singer appeared on a number of TV shows across the U.S. in January this year to promote her new album, ‘I Love You’, and revealed that she will appear on American Idol as a guide to the wannabe stars.(ANI)
