(12/30/2006) Photo Credit: / Splash News07 February 2007 (Sawf News) - Not only is there a graphic sex tape made with Paris Hilton's best friend KIM Kardashian, and her ex-boyfriend, R&B singer Ray J., the tape has been bought by Vivid Video for $1 million from an unidentified source and will be released in stores before Feb. 28.
Reports about the existence of the tape first surfaced last month in New York Daily News. Multiple sources told the publication that at least one tape exists, and that Kardashian was at least partially involved in attempts to sell it.
However, both Kim and her friend Paris repeatedly denied the existence of such a video.
Last week, however, Kim changed her stance and came clean while speaking with Sal Masekela of E!'s "Daily 10."
"Have there been tapes? Maybe, yes," she confessed. "But are they for sale? No. Not for sale. That's our business."
Kim additionally told Daily News, "I'm not poor; I'm not desperate. I would never attempt to sell a tape. It would humiliate me and ruin my family. I have two successful businesses, and I don't need the money."
While Kim may not have been desperate to sell the tape, porn peddlers were desperate to get their hands on it. Sugar DVD and Joe Francis ( Girls Gone Wild) were both rumored to have acquired it.
Kim dismissed the rumors saying, "Sugar DVD are getting so much press and so many Web site hits out of this, it's the best free publicity they could hope for."
Page Six has now reported that the tape has been bought by Vivid Video for $1 million from an unidentified source. It will be released as a DVD titled "Kim Kardashian Superstar" in stores by Feb. 28, with additional footage on kimksuperstar.com.
Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch said, "We are comfortable that we have the legal right to distribute this video . . . I've seen the video and it's really great. It has over 30 minutes of explicit sex that fans of erotica will find very appealing . . . Apparently, the video was shot by Ray J about three years ago when he and Kim were in a relationship. Viewers will definitely get their money's worth."
Ray J is incidently the brother of singer Brandy who was involved in a recent multiple car accident that resulted in a fatality.
A rep for Kardashian, when asked to comment by Page Six, "Are you [bleep]ing me? Kim is going to die . . . are you sure?"
Later, he added, "She will be taking legal action against anyone responsible for this. She was unaware of this and caught completely off-guard."
Ray J could not be reached.
