07 February 2007 (Sawf News) - Since the death of her mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, Angelina Jolie seems to have been losing weight.
The already petite star and mother of three has reportedly been barely eating anything at all since her mother's passing and a source says she is "rail thin."
The insider adds, "You're afraid to hug her because she might break."
It seems that a lot of people suffer from weight-loss after the loss of a loved one as a sort of coping mechanism.
Angelina has always been admired for her body despite her having looked thin and frail in the past. She reportedly fainted three times last October while shooting a movie in India.
In recent weeks she seems to have lost her appetite and it is worrying those closest to her.
"Angie doesn't seem to have a healthy appetite," another source says. "When she's depressed or stressed, its worse."
Jolie has recently purchased a house with Brad Pitt in New Orleans, where he is filming his new movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The family will be living in the luxurious house for the time being.

Angelina's drastic weight loss can be traced all the way back to after she had Shiloh - what pregnant woman has ever gone to such extremes to hide her 9 month pregnant body from view?! Instead of embracing her pregnancy, she was obviously repulsed by the lack of control of her "perfect" figure. Since the pregnancy she has done nothing but lose weight! The death of her mother is tragic, and may cause more weight loss -- but why is no one even mentioning the fact that the weight loss seems more tied to Angelina's frantic desire to regain her pre-"blob" figure?!
