March 6, 2007 (Sawf News) – Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden is being investigated by Beverly Hills Police after a photographer filed a "crime report" claiming the singer attacked her.
The violent confrontation is said to have taken place this weekend, after Madden challenged her when she attempted to take his picture while out in Beverly Hills.
She said that Madden had swung his arm and hit her left breast "with the heel of his hand." She had to see a doctor for treatment afterwards and said the blow had left a mark.
The rocker, who is currently dating Nicole Richie, was previously caught on camera by TMZ.com, lashing out at paparazzi outside a Beverly Hills restaurant.
In the video clip, Madden is seen throwing a force-full open-handed punch at a paparazzo as he tried to clear the way for his petite girlfriend.
The police have stated they take all claims very seriously. Madden’s representatives have not commented on the situation.
