Washington, Mar 26 (ANI): Australian country singer Keith Urban, who is married to actress Nicole Kidman, is grateful to the actress for saving his life.

The singer said that their wedding is not about Kidman being married to him, but that he is happy that he is married to her, for she put his life on the right track.

”As far as being a married man, it is the best thing I have ever done. And it is not just about being married; to me, it is about being married to her, to that woman because she has just saved my life, absolutely saved it,” Justjared quoted Urban, as telling the Sunday Telegraph.

Urban added that his rehab stint happened for a reason, and that its timing was divinely inspired.

”Everything happens for a reason so the timing of that (rehab) was divinely inspired,” he added.

The 39-year-old singer also said that he is looking forward to having children, and that he always wanted to be a good dad, like his brother, who has been an excellent father to his two children.

”I am looking forward to fatherhood. I have always wanted to be a good dad. My brother’s got two kids and he’s an excellent dad and I think we both have that sense of being home and being solid family guys,” he said.

On being a stepfather to Nicole’s two adopted kids Isabella and Connor, Urban said that he doesn’t get to be with them like other step dads, but he still shares a “good relationship” with them.

”I don’t get to see the kids as much as probably a lot of stepdads would, but it is a good relationship,” he said. (ANI)
