The actor was reportedly so floored by the Beverly Hills mansion that he made the owners an offer that they just couldn’t refuse.
The result - the actor is now the proud owner of a 9858 Square foot home that comes with seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a pool and tennis courts.
The house, that is just round the corner from their current house is less than a mile from the new home bought by their celebrity friends Victoria and David Beckham.
A source revealed that the mansion is perfect for the actor and his family, who have till now been renting a home nearby.
“The new place fits all his needs,” The Sun quoted the source, as saying.
The house will also have plenty of place for the Cruise household, which not only includes the actor, Holmes and their daughter Suri, but also Tom’s kids from his marriage to Nicole Kidman – Isabella and Connor – as well as his mother, who lives with them. (ANI)
It was in the news several months ago that Tom had been busy for months renovating a mansion that he had bought earlier-a conservatory for Katie's orchids as well as a guest house as a part of the compound. Now he's bought another. Could it be that he's just too compulsive to feel any real happiness for the Beckhams-his good buddies.Perhaps the purchase of a more expensive house has more to do with one-up-manship than being a "doting" husband. Also, I remember reading somewhere that this new house is a little farther away from the Beckham's than his earlier renovated mansion.
