Washington, May 19 (ANI): Kate Moss’ ex beau actor Johnny Depp has hit out at the British Press for harassing the English model/designer for her relationship with singer Pete Doherty.
The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star said that Moss is a very strong girl and a very good mother, who is unnecessarily facing media criticism.
“She's got a great brain on her and she's a great mummy,” Depp said in an interview with Daily Mail.
Depp insisted that although he was not a good partner for the waifish beauty, the supermodel and ‘Babyshambles’ singer are ‘great together’ and the media should leave the two alone.
"I was not good for Kate. But she's a strong girl and a great girl and very smart,” Depp said.
"Dragging her through the mud like that - they (the newspapers) are weird and two-faced. Let her be! I have never met Pete Doherty, but I think he has talent and he and Kate could be great together,” he added.
Moss has a daughter, Lila Grace, born on 29 September 2002, with ‘Dazed & Confused’ editor Jefferson Hack. She is also godmother to the two sons of ‘The Clash’ member Paul Simonon.
Moss has long been linked romantically with junkie rocker Doherty and on 11 April 2007 the singer announced Moss as his fiancee during one of his concerts in London, at which the model also performed. Since then there have been constant media speculations about the couple. (ANI)
