Washington, June 6 (ANI): She’s been in jail for two days, and Paris Hilton’s psychiatrist was already paying her a visit at the facility.

Dr. Charles Sophy, who has been treating the hotel heiress for the past eight months, was the second person after Paris’ attorney Richard A. Hutton, who has paid Hilton a visit to check up on her.

Dr Sophy, who last month testified before a judge that Paris was too “emotionally distraught and traumatized” to participate in a 10 million dollar slander and libel lawsuit brought against her, stayed with the her for about two hours reports People magazine.

As for why he was needed, well TMZ reports that the ‘Stars are Blind’ singer was not having an easy time in jail. She has reportedly been crying on the phone, revealing that she hasn’t been able to sleep as her cell is “freezing cold’, and has not been eating properly because she has lost her appetite.

Paris’ cell is not only so cold that she has been given three blankets, one of which she is using as a pillow, but it is also too bright, with jail noises constantly echoing in it.

However, the heiress hasn’t had to worry about envious inmates as yet, for not only have some told her that she doesn’t deserve to be in jail, but one has also reportedly gifted her an origami butterfly made from a magazine cage.

The prison guards have also been won over by Paris, and insist that she has been nothing short of polite and grateful.

Paris surrendered late Sunday night to serve at least 23 days for a probation violation in an alcohol-related driving case. (ANI)

I am not referring to Paris Hilton specifically in this message. But I want to bring to light the book published in the 1980s by Gloria Steinem and the tragedies of the children of the wealthy, especially the young women of the wealthy. These young women are often the product of abuses with the family, especially by the father. This may or may not have happened to Paris, but it does happen to many young women with wealthy parents. It is a hidden tragedy, and I wish more were written about it.

Again, I am not referring to Paris specifically but I remember one case, a Miss World, who was interviewd by Steneim, and she had been tragically abused by her dad when she young, and all her life was marred by it.

Just an opinion. Don't be too harsh on these young women. Look at Jessica Simpson and the kind of father she has to deal with.

Maybe paris hilton should stay in jail or maybe she shouldn't, either way psychiatry should not be involved. the entire field of mental health is only a bunch of unproven theories and really has no place anywhere[much like witchcraft]. it seems that the new medical confidentually laws are protecting the doctors more than the patients.
