London, July 7 (ANI): It appears that bookies are confident about Prince William marrying his former girlfriend, Kate Middleton.
This is the reason why they have stopped taking bets on whom Prince William will marry.
They are refusing to accept any more bets following reports that William and Kate have been seeing each other again.
After their split in April, Ladbrokes made society girl Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe the most likely to win William’s affections, and put her chances at 6-1.
At that time Middleton’s chances marrying the prince were put at 16-1.
But after recent speculation that the couple has rekindled their romance, the odds have closed at 1-3.
"We thought the pair had split for good. But punters clearly had more faith than the bookies. It's now a case of when and not if. Their wedding day will cost us a packet,” the Scotsman quoted Nick Weinberg, spokesman for Ladbrokes, as saying.
Now, there are odds of 10-1 that the couple will get engaged before the end of the year, 4-1 that they will declare plans to wed in 2008 and 2-1 for 2009. (ANI)
