5 October 2007 (Bang) - The Hollywood sex symbol - who plays a wicked witch in her new film Stardust - enjoyed pretending to be a blood-sucking demon when she was a child.

Michelle told BANG Showbiz: "I used to like to dress up as a vampire I have to say. That was my most memorable costume."

The Hairspray star also confessed she prefers playing evil characters to good guys.

She said: "Yes I think bad guys have more fun. I don't know about real life, but let's just say actors playing bad guys definitely have more fun."

The 49-year-old actress looked radiant at the European premiere of Stardust in London's Leicester Square on Wednesday (3 Oct 2007).

She made sure she showed her appreciation to the throng of waiting fans by spending time signing autographs.

Michelle was joined on the red carpet - which had been transformed into an enchanted forest - by co-stars Ricky Gervais and Charlie Cox.

The screening was held up by actress Sienna Miller, who also stars in the film, who arrived late and kept the audience waiting 10 minutes for the movie to start.
