Photo Credit: Allende / Splash News16 October 2007 (Sawf News) - Country music singer Carrie Underwood was spotted kissing Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford Friday, October 12, at NYC club Marquee sparking rumors of a new celebrity romance.
"They were canoodling all night and stayed until close," one eyewitness told OK!.
The next evening, the pair enjoyed a romantic dinner at Mario Batali's Del Posto restaurant and later a few drinks at Soho Grand.
"They held court at their own private table, kissing and not leaving each other's side," a source said.
Carrie, 24, who won the fourth season of American Idol, has been linked to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo since late last year.
Carrie was seen to hug Tony on the field on Christmas Day 2006 at Texas Stadium before the Cowboys' game against the Philadelphia Eagles. She attended his birthday party in April 2007 and Tony escorted her to the Academy of Country Music Awards on May 15, 2007. Tony also attended Carrie's performance at the American Idol finale on May 23.
However, late in May The National Enquirer reported that Romo had called a "timeout" on the relationship until the end of football season.
Carrie has steadfastly maintained that she and Tony were friends.
"We're very good friends, and I talk to him pretty much every day, whether it's a text or whatever. But we were never, like, dating." she tell Seventeen magazine for their forthcoming issue.
She also recently said, "I'd like to have someone other than my mom to call when I have good news."
Carrie's rep refused to say anything on the issue telling OK!, "We do not comment on her personal life."
