Afghanistan born and Britain raised Adnan, who is reportedly married, first linked up with Britney on her wild night out Saturday, December 22, when she picked him up from amidst the paparazzi hoard tailing her and spent nearly four hours with him at a LA hotel.
The two have since been out together on two more occasions.
A court appointed monitor will keep a watch over Britney as she bids adieu to a year of bizarre behavior that included - multiple trips to rehab, shaving her head in full view of paparazzi cameras, numerous romantic linkups, sexual promiscuity, numerous reshuffle of her staff, crazed rants against her family and management, a proclivity to stay at city hotels despite owning two houses and a failed comeback effort that included lip synching dance performances at HOB venues, a disastrous performance at MTV VMA and a new album that notched up insipid sales.
It is unlikely that Adnan, who has reportedly been making $200,000 a year stalking Britney and selling her photos, is spending time with her because he has fallen for her.
"He's always played her knight in shining armor, not just because he's a gentleman, but because he's a true mercenary," an insider told OK!
The insider recalled a recent incident when Britney locked herself in a utility closet in a Target store in Culver City, Calif. to escape the paparazzi tailing her. Adnan talked her into letting him escort her out.
"He told me that the reason he talked to her through the door and convinced her to let him escort her to her car was because if she were to leave the store through the back loading dock, he wouldn't get good photos," says the insider.
