Last month we saw Vanessa with her hair ironed straight but she has now reverted to her natural curls that go well with her teenage years.
Todd Graff's film follows a high school misfit and a popular girl that form an unlikely friendship through their shared love of music.
Together, they form a band of outcasts and go on to perform in a musical competition.
Hudgens is playing the role of fifteen-year-old stutterer Sam. She becomes romantically entangled with the lead outcast.
Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas is producing the film and Graff and Josh Cagan have written the screenplay.
The film was earlier shot on location in Austin, TX.
