"Britney's nervous but excited to show Kevin that she really has changed and can be a good mom - and a good partner," a source told Star.
Jamie, who was opposed to Britney's marriage with Kevin in 2004, now has a different take on him, having seen Britney spiral out of control following their break up.
He is convinced that Kevin would provide Britney the anchor that she desperately needs at this stage in her life.
"Jamie thinks highly of him now," a source told Star.
When they recently spent time together playing golf, "Kevin admitted to Jamie that he still loves Britney," adds the source.
"Kevin would definitely take her back, but she will have to stay on track for a while," a close insider revealed. "She was the love of his life, and he'll never get over that."
