August 6, 2008 (Sawf News) - Shia LaBeouf's rep has termed a report that the Indiana Jones star faced amputation of one of his injured fingers a "completely fabricated story."
Shia's left hand was crushed when his Ford pickup flipped on being struck by a car early Sunday morning on July 27.
Though Shia was not responsible for the accident, he was cited for DUI.
He is currently recovering from extensive surgery and plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month.
The 22-year-old Australian actor was recently spotted sporting a cast over his left arm.
Star magazine, quoting a source on the set, had reported that doctors have told Shia LaBeouf they may have to amputate one of his injured fingers.
