September 16, 2008 (Sawf News) - Like fellow crooner Jordin Sparks, rising country music star Taylor Swift also found host Russell Brand's focus on sex during the MTV Music Video Awards excessive.
"I think that there was a little too much sex being talked about instead of music," Taylor told Fox News at Sunday's DVD premiere of Another Cinderella Story.
"But I think (host) Russell Brand is a great comedian and he's funny," she added.
Swift, who is believed to be dating Joe Jonas, was appreciative of how the Jonas Brothers took Brand's digs at them.
"I think that the Jonas Brothers are the most professional people in the music industry -- they laugh at themselves and know how to have fun regardless of whether they are being picked on throughout the entire show," she added.
Despite her rising star status, Swift is not enamored by a celebrity lifestyle.
"I wouldn't be a party girl even if I wasn't doing this; that's just not the way I live my life," she said. "There are cameras and microscopes now, but honestly, I wouldn't be a party girl either way. That's just not how I am."
The first single, Love Story, from Taylor Swift's next studio album, Fearless, debuted on Friday, September 12. The album is due in stores on November 11.
Swift has been nominated for female vocalist of the year at CMA against veterans, Alison Krauss, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood.
