December 16, 2008, (Sawf News) - Hilary Duff claims she never told Elle magazine in 2006 that she was still a virgin, because it is nobody's business.
Duff, 21, who is the cover girl for Maxim's January issue and features in its cover story 'The Sexiest Stars of 2009,' told the magazine:
"You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that. That's nobody's business but my own. Somehow it turned into a bad thing!"
A claim to virginity that was never made by her isn't the worst thing that has been written about Duff.
"I've been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs," she says. "I mean, little ol' me? It's shocking. People love to believe it-it's way more exciting to talk about than the truth! And they're so descriptive about these lap dances. I don't even know how to do a lap dance!"
Speaking about the sexy Philip Andelman directed music video of her new dance-pop single Reach Out , which has her playing a temptress and shows her showing skin and dancing provocatively, Hilary said:
"I was ready to do something different. The intent was not to be overtly sexual; I'm not naked. I do have little shorts on in it-but I also wear a giant tutu. It's good to show different sides of yourself."
Duff, who has been dating Canadian NHL player Mike Comrie, 28, since 2007, told Maxim, "I'm a relationship person."
Speaking about the bauble on her wedding ring finger, which sparked rumors of an engagement, Duff said, "The truth is, I just like to wear rings!"
Hilary Duff, who rose to fame playing the title role in the Disney Channel TV series Lizzie McGuire, is set to return to the small screen starring in her own series.
The one-year contract will also see Duff guest star or appear in other NBC series.
No premiere date has been set.
