Pinault is the father of Hayek's daughter, Valentina, born in September 2007
Hayek, 42 met Pinault, 46, in Venice in May 2006 and started dating shortly thereafter, but kept their relationship low key. In March 2007 they announced their engagement and Hayek's pregnancy.
The couple broke their engagement in July when Hayek's rep told USA Today:
"We are sad to announce the engagement of Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault has been canceled. There will be no further comment."
Of late, Hayek and Pinault have been spending time together. The former lovers were spotted looking cozy together at the Balenciaga runway show during Paris Fashion Week in September.
Hayek was also seen cozying up to Valentina's father at a soccer game in the French city of Rennes in early November.
Hayek appears in NBC's TV comedy series 30 Rock, playing Jack Donaghy's (Alec Baldwin) love interest Elisa. She spoke with TV host Rachael Ray last week and referred to her kissing scenes with Alec Baldwin on the show.
"I keep telling Francois, 'I imagine I was kissing you,'" she said.
