"Lindsay showed up uninvited to Chace's apartment and was not allowed in," a friend of the hunky actor told OK! magazine.
Elaborating on what transpired earlier that night, the source emphasized that Chace is certainly not into Lindsay.
"Lindsay heard that Chace and Emile Hirsch were hanging out at [Justin Timberlake's restaurant] Southern Hospitality for drinks," he said. "But she showed up uninvited and unannounced. She caused quite a scene so Chace left to go back to his place for some more fun."
Shortly after being turned back by Chace on Monday morning, Lindsay was seen driving to the airport with her bags, headed home to Los Angeles where her galpal, Samantha Ronson, is recuperating from an ear infection.
